Hi, I'm Akshita

My practice explores how sound and touch can be designed together as a single, cohesive material rather than as separate sensory outputs. I'm particularly interested in how everyday gestures — like tapping, holding, rotating, or placing objects — can become meaningful multisensory interactions.

My work sits between physical prototyping and digital media. I like to build interactive systems using sensors, microcontrollers, and real-time visual or audio outputs, using these as a way to test how the body perceives vibration across different forms. Through this, I explore how properties like frequency, amplitude, and rhythm can translate between what we hear and what we feel, and how design can shape that relationship.

Overall, I'm interested in building work that sits between the physical and the digital — where interaction is not just seen or heard, but felt.
